Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is globally considered as a single disease. There are important differences in behavior between one RMS and another, depending on its place of origin, its histological appearance under the microscope, its size and its possible spread to other locations, as well as the amount of residual tumor that remains after the initial surgery and the age of the patient at the time of diagnosis.
