Choroidal melanoma is the most common malignant intraocular tumor in the adult population. It has a global incidence of 5-6 cases per million. It commonly presents after the sixth decade of life with an increased incidence with increasing age. These malignant tumors can be found in a routine ophthalmological evaluation, their correct diagnosis is of vital importance for the patient's prognosis since they can cause metastases to other organs. The case of a 62-year-old diabetic patient is presented, who consulted for decreased vision in the left eye of 1 week of evolution, without other associated symptoms, the complementary studies revealed the diagnosis of choroidal melanoma with the consequent need of enucleation.
